ESR Processing of a New High Pressure Die Casting Steel. Dissemination action at ESTAD 2021 congress
The 5th ESTAD 2021 congress focuses on the latest trends and issues and provides a wide networking and information platform for equipment and service suppliers, plant manufacturers, steelmakers and scientists. A dissemination action at ESTAD 2021 will be performed by the consortium. The most relevant info about the project will be presented. It will take place on August 30th to September 2nd, 2021.
During the HPDCSTEEL project, a new steel reinforced with in-situ formed carbides has been designed, tested at the laboratory scale, manufactured at the industrial scale and tested during operation. A new ESR process has been studied and developed to allow introducing the master alloy that contains the SHS formed carbides into the molten steel. In the congress they will be showed the laboratory scale and industrial trials to obtain a 3D forged new steel.
