LEBARIO ROMANIA (LEBARIO RO)
Industrial die maker that belongs to Industrias Lebario Group establish in Romania in 2010. Their axles are in Spain, Romania and México (2015). They have two plants with 4,300 m2 dedicated to production and 700 m2 of office space, with a total capacity of 85,000 hours per year. They design and produce dies for aluminum and magnesium injection, for up to 3,500-ton machines. Work began in 1975 with dies for small parts. They have experienced constant growth, specializing in larger dies for an ever-growing client-base. They support a 100 strong workforce with a high level of industry knowledge and understanding, and an enthusiasm to continually learn and improve, with 30 people in Romania plant.
They are able to maintain a high standard of technological aptitude. They work primarily for the automotive sector, specializing in in the design and production of large, precision injection dies for the automotive powertrain. Technologically, they focus on always being one step ahead of our competitors. They invest in research, development and innovation, carrying out diverse, strategic projects, such as intelligent dies, metallurgic assay, and development of micro reinforced steel. The main technologies that we develop include: Metal insert over injection systems, vacuum process optimization, squeeze casting, thermal injection optimization, simulation, sensoring. Lebario Romania capability includes all current manufacturing processes such as turning, drilling, milling, welding, adjusting, etc., and they are able to handle dies of up to 25 tons, with the quality equipment to guarantee a premium quality.
Main tasks in the project:
- Definition of the performance requirements of the new steel grade, development of die manufacturing with the new alloy, studying what are the optimal tooling and process parameters to produce a die with the reinforced material. A demonstrator die will be constructed by LEBARIO RO. Collaboration in industrial trials and in the study of die performance.
- Analyze of the economic and environmental impacts and dissemination.
